He discovered his love for acting in high school, and in the 70s did some voice work on a local Christian puppet show called Time for Timothy. Arrangements are entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care.

His niece is arranging a ceremony to honor Tom's life that will take place on what would have been his and Mike's anniversary, May 30th, 2024, in Sparta, Tennessee, where his ashes will be spread with his husband's near his sister's grave.
In lieu of donations, Tom's request is to "Be nice to a stranger today and adopt a shelter pet if able."
