Gary Allen Watson Sr.

Gary Allen Watson Sr., 57, passed away on June 10, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and the love of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Gary spent much of his life working in the automotive industry, a field he was passionate about and dedicated to for many years. He also spent several years in the flooring industry, where his strong work ethic and commitment were evident in everything he did.

Outside of work, Gary enjoyed riding his motorcycle and embracing the freedom of the open road. More than anything, however, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He cherished every moment with them and took great pride in being their grandfather. Whether sharing stories, making memories, or simply spending time together, Gary’s love for his grandchildren was evident to everyone who knew him.

Gary also treasured the bond he shared with his son, Gary Watson Jr. The time they spent together brought him immense happiness and was among the most important parts of his life.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Watson; his brothers, Jimmy Watson; and sister, Sandy (Steve) Hickle. Gary was a devoted father to his sons, Gary (Paige) Watson Jr., Michael Ruhmkorff, and Jakob Faucett, and his daughter, Ashley Brown. He treasured his role as a grandfather to Ensley Watson, Gavin Watson, Keegan Brown, and Danielle Ruhmkorff. His nieces, Amanda Hickle, Shelby Hickle, and Adrienne (Brandon) Reynolds, along with great-niece Ava Reynolds and great-nephew Axl Reynolds, also carry forward his memory.

Gary is proceeded in passing by his cousin, Ronnie Brothers; his uncle, Jim Curtis; and his sister-in-law; Penny Watson, all whom he cherished deeply.

Visitation for Gary will be held on June 17, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care East, located at 1307 Shadeland Avenue in Indianapolis, IN 46219. Following visitation, the funeral service will take place at the same location from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and family to come together to celebrate his life and legacy. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in Gary's honor. 

Gary will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of motorcycles, his sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the impact he made on those who loved him will remain forever.
