Gary Rinker, 57, of Noblesville, IN passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on April 6, 2024. He was born in Noblesville, IN on December 30, 1966 to Preston and Diana Sue Rinker. 

Gary graduated from Lapel High School in 1986 and went on to attend Georgia Military College to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Science. He met and married Lynn Rinker on May 9, 2008 and they were married for 16 years. Gary, Lynn and Samantha attended Unitarian Universalists Fellowship of Athens in Athens, Georgia since 2009. Gary served as a father figure to Lynn's daughter, Samantha, and was ecstatic to take on that role and Samantha took on his last name. Gary played baseball for Lapel's baseball team in middle school and high school and even played for Lapel as an adult. His father, Preston, helped coach his teams as a youth. He was a homebody and enjoyed spending time at home with his wife and family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Diana Sue Rinker and brother in law, Amir Madni Rinker. 

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Rinker of Noblesville, IN; daughter, Samantha of  Noblesville, IN; step son, James H. Carroll of Carnesville, GA; step grandchildren, Savannah, Jackson, and Harlie Carroll of Carnesville, GA; sister, Deborah Rinker of Noblesville, IN; nephews, Aaron, Aashir, and Ariston Rinker of Noblesville, IN; aunts and uncles, Vivian Beam of Noblesville, IN, Mike Harrison of Arcadia, IN, Mary Ellen Giillem of Kokomo, IN, and Duane (Mary) Rinker of Noblesville, IN, and several cousins. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gary's name to: Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens, 780 Timothy Rd. Athens, GA 30606.
