Fred Eugene Overton, 76, of Elkville, Illinois passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, in Greenwood, Indiana.
He was born Tuesday, March 12, 1946, to the late Charles Harvey Overton and Ollie Dee (Daniels) McKnight in Carbondale, Illinois.
Fred is survived by his wife, Virginia L. (Reams) Overton; children, Roy Overton and his wife Lynette, Angie Smothermon; sister Kay F. Russo; grandchildren, Heather Pickens, Stephanie Creath, Kimberly Hash, Mitchell Smothermon, Kathryn Smothermon; great grandchildren, Colton Hash, Eliana Pickens, Alessandra Creath, Grant Hash, Adalynn Pickens, and Briar Creath.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ollie; brothers, Richard Joseph Daniels, Charles Harvey Overton, Thomas Howard (Tom) Overton; sister, Priscilla Overton.
