Frank Lee Luster, 79, of Acton Indiana, passed away on August 8th 2026, peacefully in his home after a brief battle with cancer. Born on May 8th, 1947, in McKinney Kentucky, Frank was the son of Coleman D Luster and Mary Florin (Smith) Luster. Frank graduated from McKinney High School in 1965. Frank married his Wife Linda (Boyer) Luster on June 12th 1969.

Frank worked the majority of his life in the sheet metal business with Master-fit were he worked for over 30 years leaving as a foreman. Frank later worked at Walmart were he retired; however, he did not like retirement so he picked up a part-time job at Dryer and Reinbolt.

Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, fixing lawnmowers, going to amish auctions, watching westerns, sports, or the news. Frank was a proud member of Mt Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for the past 15 years. However, his proudest titles were Dad and Papaw. Frank dedicated a lot of his life to making memories with his children and grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his wife, Linda, his three children Michael (Bobbi) Luster, Lori (Tim) Batson, and Lisa Luster, his grandchildren Andrew Luster, Lindsey(Niki) Garrod, Coleman Luster, Dakota (Kayleigh) Luster, Connor Luster, Raven Heaston, Abigail Elliott, three great grandchildren, sibling Sharon Jones and many nieces and nephews.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents Coleman and Mary Florin, siblings Marthie Brown, Teddie Luster, C.D Luster, George (Manuel) Luster, Juanita Marr, Faustine Montgomery, and Phyllis Fredrick.

Visitation is Saturday, August 15, 2026, 12:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 7925 Huff Street, (Acton) Indianapolis, IN 46259.

Funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm.

A dinner will be served following the service and the family invites you to stay.
