Florence Kukula

Florence (Ciecierski) Kukula, 99, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Friday, December 30, 2022. She was born in East Chicago, Indiana, on December 27, 1923.

Ms. Kukula was a WAC with the United States Army during World War II, having served as a Medical Technician, caring for the wounded returning home.

She is survived by her children: Donald (Betty Jo) Hawks, James Hawks,  Robert Hawks, Patricia (Bobby) Hawks-Earley, and  Susan (Lee) Rouhselang; her grandchildren Kristin Carter, Katherine Braddock, Jennifer Hawks, Jesse Caudillo, Jackie Hawks, Jeff Hawks, Christopher Anderson, Sky Block, Adam Rouhselang, Melinda Tennison, Ryan Hawks, Nicole Heine, Amber Hawks, Amanda Royce, Joseph Williams, Brooke Hawks and twenty  great-grandchildren with one great-great grandchild, as well as several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, father of her children Hubert 'Cy' Hawks, second husband Nickolas Kukula, and son William Hawks. 

Visitation is Thursday, January 5, 2023, 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm.

Burial to immediately follow at Acton Cemetery.
