With deepest sorrow, we announce that Elizabeth Barr Williams, 55, passed away peacefully on the rainy morning of Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, and was the beloved daughter of Nancy Barr Sadlier and the late Lorry Alexander Barr.


Beth, as she was known to many, faced a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer, demonstrating resilience and strength throughout her journey. Her unwavering spirit in the face of adversity inspired those around her. Despite the challenges, she continued to embrace life, leaving an enduring impact on those who witnessed her bravery. Beth’s legacy is not only one of love and family but also a testament to her remarkable courage in the face of illness. May she find eternal peace free from pain, and may her memory be a source of inspiration to us all.


Elizabeth’s remarkable spirit shone brightly in her ability to see the good in people. Her capacity for empathy and forgiveness reflected a heart that sought understanding and compassion. In a world where kindness can be a rare treasure, Beth’s open-hearted approach leaves a powerful legacy. Her example encourages us all to find the good in others, fostering a sense of understanding and unity that she embodied throughout her life.


She was preceded in death by her father, Lorry A. Barr; a stepfather, Richard P. Sadlier; a brother, T. Michael Barr; and a nephew, Andrew J.Barr.


Elizabeth is survived by her two loving children, Julia and Nicholas. As a devoted mother, she poured her love, wisdom, and support into shaping their lives. Julia and Nicholas carry forward not just her name but also the cherished values and memories that Beth imparted. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her beloved son and daughter, a testament to the enduring bond of family. She is also survived by her mother, Nancy Barr Sadlier (Larry Wisler); a sister, Lorrie (Dennis) Csordas; a brother, Richard J. (Sarah) Sadlier; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
