Elfreda V Dalton

June 28, 1935 — December 16, 2019

Freda Dalton graduated to heaven peacefully on December 16, 2019. Born June 28, 1935, in Huntsville, KY to Orville and Thelma (Porter) Vaughn, with whom she is now reunited.
Freda is survived by her loving and dedicated son and only child, Gregory D. Dalton-Fishers, IN; her caring daughter-in-law Traci (Leiter) Dalton-Fishers, IN; loving brothers, Jackie Vaughn-Morgantown, KY and Dwight Vaughn-Huntsville, KY; and loving sister Penny Vaughn-Huntsville, KY.
Freda retired from Central Publishing Company after 40+ years of service as a proof-reader for our state's legislature. After retirement, Freda dedicated herself to serving others. She spent many years caring for friends, family and neighbors who needed any kind of love and help.
Freda was a member of Fishers United Methodist Church and was a constant fixture at annual fish-frys, the 50+ Club, weekly at the food pantry and was always willing to make her famous Grape Salad for any dinner or event.
Freda had been a Fishers resident since 1967 and still lived in the home she helped build. She was a faithful servant of our Lord God in every area of her life. We are blessed and thankful that she is now walking again-her favorite activity-with Jesus and all of her animals, especially Gabby the Pom.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Freda is being planned. Details of the event will be announced after the Christmas holiday.
Thank you and God bless to all of our family, friends, church families and neighbors for your continued prayers, love and support for us and Freda.

1 Corinthians 15:54-55
Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
