Eleanor Stolz

November 18, 1933 — March 19, 2024

Eleanor Rollo Stolz was born in Moline, Illinois on November 18, 1933 to L. Herbert and Gertrude Rollo. She is survived by husband David, daughters Peggy (Mark) Shepherd, Susan Stolz, and son Jon (Susan) Stolz, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was married to David for 67 years and supported husband David while farming for decades. Eleanor had a long career as an elementary school teacher in Gibson City, Illinois.
 
Eleanor expressed, "I have been given a wonderful life on earth and will now enter a better one with Christ in heaven."
 
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 19th at Faith Lutheran Church in Avon. The church is located at 5706 E. County Road 100 North, Avon, Indiana 46123. The event will be from 11:00 am – 2:30 pm with a brief reflection and time of sharing memories at 1:00 pm. Please contact the family for additional information.
 
Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to Kemmerer Village, Assumption, IL at www.kemmerervillage.org as David and Eleanor volunteered there for many years.
