Edward Clayton Crowder

Edward Clayton Crowder, affectionately known as "Butch," passed away on July 21, 2026. Born on October 24, 1968, in Anderson, Indiana, Edward dedicated his life to service, family, and community.

Edward’s professional life was characterized by an unwavering commitment to the United States Army National Guard, where he served as a mechanic. Over a distinguished 24-year military career, he exemplified reliability, skill, and an unwavering dedication to his country. Edward’s expertise and work ethic made him a valued member of his unit, and his contributions will be remembered by his comrades and the generations who follow.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Edward was celebrated for his caring and giving nature. His kind spirit and willingness to help others were felt by all who knew him.

Edward is survived by his children, Edward Crowder of Union City, IN, Julian Wilburn of Franklin, IN, and Heather Crowder of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by his mother, Connie Reynolds of Seagoville, TX, and his sister, Amy Caldwell of Seagoville, TX.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Crowder, and his sister, Brandy Morrow, whose memories remain treasured by those who knew them.

A visitation honoring Edward Clayton Crowder will be held on August 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, located at 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, Indiana. This will be followed by a memorial service at the same location from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., offering family, friends, and colleagues the opportunity to gather and reflect on a life marked by service, kindness, and integrity.

Edward’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
