Dorothy Jean Hudson

Indianapolis

Dorothy “ Jean” Hudson gained her wings on May 29 2024 Indianapolis, IN 5 years to the day of her late Ex Husband and good friend Lee Albert Hudson Jr at the age of 74. Dorothy Jean Hudson was a loving Mother, Wife and Grandmother. She was so gentle and sweet and showed love to whomever she met.

Dorothy was born to Sie Scott and Lillie Bell  Ceaser “Scott” on March 9 1950 in Anguila,MS with 6 siblings. 5 Sisters and 1 Brother. Dorothy was also a great addition to the  Hudson Family and was a awesome Sister and daughter in Law.

 Dorothy attended Rolling Fork high School of Anguilla,MS. She worked at and retired from the  United hospital services.

 Dorothy was baptized and received Jesus as her Lord and Savior at Mt Vernon missionary Baptist Church in Midnight, MS at an early age.

On June 24th 1971, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Lee Albert Hudson Jr for 22 years, to this union was Phillip Scott. Kavin D Hudson, Everette Lee Hudson, (Joyce Hudson) and Teresa Nicole Hudson “Sweatt”. (Randy E Sweatt), and step son Christopher Lee Hudson.

Dorothy loved to cook, paint and crochet. If she ever made you a blanket, you know it was made with love and great craftsmanship. Dorothy was very artistic and creative. She could make a hamburger taste like steak and greens that melt in your mouth. Her painting and drawings were very realistic and embodied nature and beauty.

Dorothy loved and adored her children and made sure they knew the Lord, giving them all their first bible, including her nieces and nephews. She taught and instilled many valuable life lessons and was the epitome of a humble, loving and loyal person.

She leaves to cherish 3 sisters Mattie Scott, Ruby Lee Scott, and Rose Mary Scott and Brother Aaron R Scott. Proceeded in death by sisters Ruth Ann Scott and Patricia Ann Scott “Brown”. She also leaves to cherish her children Phillip Scott, Kavin D Hudson, Everette Lee Hudson (Joyce Hudson) and Teresa Nicole Hudson “ Sweatt” ( Randy Sweatt) . 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
