Dorothy Lee (Schubert) Conklin, 83, died on May 18, 2026 at her home. She was born December 5, 1942 in Kingston, Tennessee to Herbert and Dollie Schubert.

She was devoted, proud, and honored to be an employee of the City of Indianapolis for 39 years where she found fulfillment and joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Eugene Conklin, who died May 4, 2015.

Survivors include her sister, Joyce Ann Croslow of Indiana; her four children Darrell Eugene Conklin, Daniel Lee Conklin, Dwayne Alan Conklin (Charlotte) all of West Texas, and Debra Ann (Conklin) Rimke of Indianapolis; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Dorothy did things her way even until the end. She wants her memory to be positive and happy. We are proud to have been able to call her mom. We will miss her immensely.

Dorothy wished for those who knew her to honor her memory by celebrating her life and making a donation to the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of your choice.
