Donna G. St. John

Donna G. St John of Greenwood Indiana, passed away late Tuesday, March 10, 2026, after a year of fighting cancer.

Donna was born September 5, 1960, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Harold and Avis Compton. She grew up mostly in Huntington, alongside her three sisters- Linda (deceased), Pam (deceased), and younger sister Lori, whom she is survived by. After awhile, the family moved to Moorseville Indiana. This is where she would eventually meet the love of her life, Mark. In the last few years of high school, the family moved over to Whiteland Indiana, where Donna would graduate from Whiteland High School in 1978. 

Donna largely spent her life in hospitality. For most of that time, she worked with the Marriott Hotels Corporation. Helping and caring for her customers was something she took great pride in, and enjoyed doing.

Donna’s greatest joy in life was her family. She married Mark on March 19, 1982. Together they had four children- Zack (Jenn), Chaney, Justin (Jess), and Josh (Brittany). Then there are her fourteen wonderful grandchildren that became her whole world- Madison, Allison, Sunnie, Stormie, Erin, Avery, Coraline, Harper, Ryan, Roman, Jack, Ryatt, Brooklyn, and Kane. 

In life, Donna built up happy memories, surrounded by loved ones. Her memory and love will live on in all of our hearts. 

Please come celebrate her life on March 27, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care on East Main Street in Greenwood.
