Donn David Rieger

Donn David Rieger, 83, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on May 3, 2026.

Dave was born on November 6, 1942, at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital to Donn and Helen Rieger. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking, spelunking, climbing and fishing. He was also a dedicated photographer and was a member of the Indianapolis Art League. He served in the U.S. Air Force between 1966 and 1970. He enjoyed volunteering as a camp counselor for the MDA summer camp.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Rieger (Fisher); daughter, Amy Morton (Rieger); son-in-law, David Morton; sisters, Ellen, and Garnet; and his brother, Gordon. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Rieger.

Dave will be remembered as a regular at the Broad Ripple Bark Park, spending time with his beloved dog, Charlie. Per Dave’s request, there will be no formal ceremony. A small family outing will be held in his honor.
