Donald L. Shaffer

Donald L. Shaffer was born in New Albany, Indiana, on June 18, 1954, to Chester Lee Shaffer and Lillian Frances Shaffer. He was a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who valued his family and the simple joys of life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Lee Shaffer and Lillian Frances Shaffer, and his sister, Mary Ann Abrams.

Donald is survived by his children: Randle (Angela) Shaffer, Balinda Shaffer, and Branden Shaffer; his step-son, Brent Landgren; his brother, Mark Shaffer; and his sister, Linda Sapp. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Brandi Collier, Austin Shaffer, Bailey Shaffer, Zach Smith, Chris Smith, Leah Hug, Isiah Baxter, Wyatt Shaffer, and Waylon Shaffer, as well as 12 great-grandchildren.

Don enjoyed watching Indianapolis Colts games and various sports, salmon fishing in Michigan, visiting the Indianapolis Speedrome, and playing pool. When he was younger, he loved amusement parks, especially riding The Beast roller coaster at Kings Island. These interests brought him great joy and created many lasting memories with family and friends.
