Donald Charles Hixon was born December 31, 1948, to the late Donald and Ellen (Burnett) in Salem, IL. Don entered into his Savior’s arms on Sunday, May 1, in Fishers, IN. He was 73 years old.

Don graduated from Effingham High School, Effingham, IL, in May 1967. Don attended Jackson Community College, Jackson, MI. where he graduated with an associates degree in Arts in January 1972. He then attended Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI., graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in August 1973. Don worked as an Accountant. After retirement, Don took up woodworking, which he made several pieces of furniture for his home and other people.

On June 21, 1996, in Carmel, IN Don married the love of his life, Cora K. Krause who survive in Fishers, IN.

Also surviving are four sisters, Burnette (Rufus0 Bowling, South Bend, IN, Lynn (Ed) Wakefield, Kirkwood, MO, Michal (Bill) See, Springfield, IL and twin sister Joanna (Joe) Kalil, Chicago, IL. His daughter, Anna Hixon of Verde Beach, FL.

Also surviving, stepson Jonathan (Tiffany) Krause, Mena, AR. Also surviving four step-grandchildren, Mason Krause of Michigan City, IN, Braxton, Aubrianna and Bryson Krause all of Mena, AR.

Also surviving are Nieces Francesca Kemper, great-niece Madeline Kemper of New Albany, IN. Nephew Allen (Kristina) Bowling, great nieces Sarah Bowling and Heather Bowling all of South Bend, IN. Nephew John (Christine) Bachmann, Great nephews, Kyle and Jacob Bachmann, great Niece Kelly Bachmann all of Zionsville, IN. Niece Kristine Bachman (significant other) Chris Napoli of Union City, MO. Nephew Mark See, great niece Taylor See, and great nephew Ethan See all of Livermore, CO. Nephew Lyndsay (Mary) See, and great niece Linnie See all of Chatham, IL. Niece Katherine Kalil of Chicago, IL, Nephew Tony (Vanessa) Kalil of Portland, OR.

Don was loyal and faithful to his friends. Don was involved in Men’s groups at Grace Church, Noblesville and White River Christian Church in Noblesville, IN.

Don will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Cora, family and many friends
