Donald Dwayne Bargo, 67, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on June 5, 2026. Born May 24, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Donald was the son of Ray and Mary Bargo, and a graduate of Ben Davis High School.
Donald was beloved and cherished by those who knew him, and his steady presence will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude. In the rhythms of everyday life and in the bonds he held close, he left an imprint of care that will not be forgotten.
An ardent golfer, Donald found genuine joy on the course and took pride in the game he loved. A member of Thatcher Golf Course, he achieved 9 Hole in Ones, earned 6 Club Championships, and won 2 Fight Championships—accomplishments that reflected both dedication and a lifelong appreciation for the sport.
Donald is survived by his daughters, Sherree Bargo and Sarah Griffin; his mother, Mary Lois Bargo; 7 grandchildren, James A. Mabry, Chase L. Mabry, Brooklynn N. Mabry, Larissa N. Mabry, Lynnsey C. Mabry, Layla F. Mabry, and Hank B. Mabry Jr.; one great grandson, Weston Allen Smith; his sister, Loren R. Hopkins; nieces, Shauna Sedam, Taryn Henson, and Clarissa Waggoner; nephew, Brent Hopkins; and his two dogs, Sandi and Sheeba.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, C. Ray Bargo and brother, Paul E. Bargo.
May Donald’s memory remain a comfort and a blessing to all who loved him.
