Don E. Umbenhower, 81, of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away July 1, 2026, at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis.
He was born on October 23, 1944, in Noblesville, Indiana to Earl and Marybelle (Dickey) Umbenhower.
Don retired as a District Manager from McDonalds and shortly after retirement he changed his mind and went back to work part-time for McDonalds for many more years.
Don loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed cook outs, ball games, going to the lake, fishing and loud music. His favorite song was “If I can dream” by Elvis Presley.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Donnie) Perry, Lori (John) Piccione; wife, Martha Umbenhower; stepson, Tommy (Joyce) Brown; sister, Kay Bonham; sister-in-law, Carol Umbenhower and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and pets.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Marybelle Umbenhower; brother, Joe Umbenhower and son, Phillip Umbenhower.
Visitation is Saturday, July 11, 2026, 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
Celebration of life will begin at 5:30 pm.
