Diane Kay Deal

March 18, 1944 — September 16, 2022

Indianapolis

Diane Kay (Manifold) Deal, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana (formerly of Coldwater, Michigan), passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 following a short & intense battle with Pneumonia. Diane arrived into this world on March, 18, 1944, born to Virginia (Cornish) Campbell in Coldwater, Michigan.

Diane graduated from Bronson High School in 1962. Four years later, on May 28, 1966, Diane married the love of her life, Roy Deal. They had two children, a son Jason & a daughter Jeanie.

During her early child-rearing years, Diane worked alongside her husband at their local grocery market & working at his auctions. After her children became of school-age, Diane accepted a position working for Bronson Community Schools. She remained a loyal & devoted Paraprofessional, working primarily with Kindergartners, until she retired in 1997.

Diane was best known for her love of antiques, her basket-weaving abilities, her delicious baked goods (especially, her amazing holiday trays), and her devotion to being the best Grandma to her only grandchild.

Diane loved yellow roses, enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy, and was an avid game player of Bingo, Euchre, & Yahtzee. She loved to laugh, spend time with her family, and chat with her dearest girlfriends (Barb, Verna, and Santha-K). Diane had also relocated to a Senior Citizen Apartment Community about a year ago, where she had made several new friends and was known for her robust attendance at all social activities. Diane was most certainly one-of-a-kind and will be dearly missed by many.

Diane is survived by her loving Daughter, Jeanie Deal-General, her Daughter’s partner, Antonio Quick both of Indianapolis, Indiana, and her beautiful Granddaughter, Gabrielle General of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Diane was preceded in death by her Mother, her Husband, and her Son.

Honoring Diane’s wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial open-house will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 11am to 2pm in Coldwater, Michigan. The memorial location will be announced soon. A private burial at Bronson Cemetery will take place after the memorial.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Diane by sending a donation to her favorite elementary school. All donations should be made payable directly to / gifted to: Anderson Elementary School located in Bronson, Michigan, in memory of Diane Deal.
