The family of Diana “Dee” J. (Jarvis) Tompkins are deeply saddened to share her passing on October 13th, 2026. 

Born on January 16th, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dee enjoyed a full and notable life. 

She completed her studies at North Central High School and attended Indiana University Indianapolis. 

Her professional path included roles in secretarial work, bookkeeping, office management, and regulatory compliance. 

She retired from Boehringer Mannheim (Roche Diagnostics) in 1998. 

Away from work, Dee held the prestigious title of Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star and knocked down the competition in her bowling league. 

In 1999 she took a gamble and moved to Las Vegas. 

She later moved back to Indy and continued to enrich the lives around her with love and kindness.

Dee will be missed immensely and remembered with much love by her children, Kristie (Jason) Browning and Dawn (Craig) Teschendorf; her grandchildren Olivia Browning, Zachary Browning, Gavin Browning, Cassidy (Walker) Albright, and Tanner Teschendorf; her siblings Gale Jarvis and Lucy Jarvis, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. 

Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Glayds Jarvis, and her siblings Jaime Jarvis and Carolyn (Jarvis) Pearson.

A celebration of life will be held later, in which arrangements will be announced.
