Devin James Alan Shadday

Devin "DJ" James Alan Shadday, 33, of Indianapolis, passed away April 26, 2026. DJ was born January 7, 1993 in Indianapolis to his mother Tonya DeDeaux. He was raised by his mother with the support and influence of Chuck Earls and Todd DeDeaux. 

DJ was a simple man with a passion for drawing, music and gaming. He loved his children dearly as well as his siblings. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

DJ is survived by his mother, Tonya (Todd) DeDeaux; children, Ava, Zayda, Niah, Amara and Prudence; siblings, Rachelle Earls, Shanise (Josh) Elkins and Chase Earls; grandmother, Vickie (Clayton) Clark; uncle, James Hoffman; aunt, Tabby (Cedric) Hardiman; and nieces and nephews, JayLynn, Cambree, BrynLeigh, Kingston, CJ, Jeremiah and Marcus.

DJ was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Hess; and great grandparents, Robert and Doris Bowman.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care East, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, IN 4619.
