Debra was born Versailles to Evelyn and Philip D Ross Sr. on August 6, 1959. She worked as a housekeeper for Crowne Plaza at Union Station for 22 years.

Debra is preceded in death by her mother, father, and 3 brothers and 1 great grandson.

Debra is survived by her spouse Richard Downey, her sister Joyce Bastin her two daughters Christy Harting and Nancy Reed, 11 Grandchildren Robert, Daniel, Amber, Tyler, Cameron, Isiaha, Jeremiah, Alijah, Mia, Kyra, Bryon with 6 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Debra will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care East (formerly Feeney Hornak Shadeland Mortuary) located at 1307 N. Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46219.
