David William Lewis

David William Lewis, 72, of Indianapolis,IN, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at his home in Indianapolis. He was born on January 18, 1950 to William “Barney” Lewis and Mary (Borovatz) Lewis in Kittanning, PA.
 
David graduated from The University of Maryland with a Bachelors of Accounting Degree. David retired as a Computer Analyst from the Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS) of Indianapolis. He was a loving husband, father, papa and uncle. He had a gentle and quiet spirit, always putting others before himself. David loved our Lord Jesus with all of his heart and soul. He enjoyed gardening and yard work, jigsaw puzzles, stamp and coin collecting, the Indianapolis Colts, watching reruns of Andy Griffith, Gunsmoke and Bonanza, and spending time with his only grandchild, Grace.  
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Annette (Tappy) Lewis, whom he married April 9, 1979; daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Enlow of Indianapolis; son, John Lewis of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Grace Enlow; brother, Jerry Lewis and sister, Susie (Lewis) Molitor. He was preceded in death by his parents.
