David Howe Sperry

David Howe Sperry, born June 3, 1950, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family at his home on May 31, 2024, in McCordsville, IN at the age of 73. 

Dave was born in Indianapolis, IN and grew up helping on the family farm. He graduated from Ritter High School in 1968. Dave married Karrie July 9th, 1992. He owned and operated his own excavating business for many years and had a passion for heavy equipment. Dave loved riding motorcycles, especially his Harley. First and foremost, above all was his love for his family and his 7 children. Family was everything to him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Margaret Sperry; grandparents; former wife, Barbara Sperry (mother of Joe, Dan and Liz); 3 brothers-in-law, Matthew Bowman, John Mills and Mark Harris; nephew, baby John Mills and niece, Leah Bowman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Karrie J. Sperry; 7 children, Joe (Beth) Sperry, Dan Sperry, Elizabeth Sperry, Katie Sperry, Nathan (Katy) Sperry, Eric Sperry and Evan Sperry; 4 grandchildren, Wesley (Hailey) Sperry, Elijah Sperry-Petrin, Aiden Sperry and Liam Sperry-O'Donovan; 1 great granddaughter due this fall, Paisley Sperry; 12 siblings, Susan Sperry, Bert (Joy) Sperry, Jim (Andy) Sperry, Anne (Jim) Evans, Becky (Brien) Dick, Meg (David) Nixon, Beth Mills, John (Barb) Sperry, Peter Sperry, Steve (Lisa) Sperry, Phil (Valerie) Sperry and Mike Sperry; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250.
