David O. Pratt

David O. Pratt, 57 of Martinsville, Indiana passed away Monday, January 15, 2024.  

David was born December 15, 1966, to James Arthur and Pamela Kay (Hash) Pratt in Indianapolis, Indiana.

David was a dedicated and honorable family man who had a great sense of humor.  He was known for his generosity and was always there for his loved ones. David had a warm and loving personality that made him a beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle, and friend to many.

He is survived by his wife Tammy Pratt (the love of his life); his children, Jonathan Gibson, Steven Gibson, Jennifer Burchard (son-in-law Kenneth Burchard),Kellie Pratt; brother Jim Hash; and shorty his favorite mother-in-law, Sue Hart. David also leaves behind his niece, Meghan Van Hoy, and his cherished grandchildren, Marissa Gibson, Hunter Gibson and Colton Burchard; and many niece's and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Pratt; sister, Beth Van Hoy; father-in-law, Jimmy Hart, and brother-in-law Jimmy (Butch) Hart II.

In his professional life, David worked as a Corporate Taco Bell (YUM Brands) Maintenance Technician and was a dedicated to his career and took great pride in his work. 

Outside of work, David had a passion for fishing and loved traveling to the mountains and the beach.  He found solace in nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors and creating lasting memories with his wife and loved ones. Dave enjoyed a simple afternoon sitting on the front porch of his home with his wife and kids was a relaxing time on most weekends.

David will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  His loving spirit and kind heart will forever be remembered in the hearts of and his family and friends.

Memorial visitation is Saturday, January 27, 2024, 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm. Pastor Shan Retherford will preside and anyone who would like to share memories of Dave.
