David L Combs

David Combs, a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the age of 72 after fighting pancreatic cancer. Descendant of the founders of Home Place, he was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School (1967) and a proud graduate of Purdue University. He had a fifty year career in the scuba industry at Divers Supply/Ikelite. Dave was also a successful business co-owner of GLD and devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle.

David is survived by his wife of 52 years Suzanne (Sue); daughter Melissa; and sons, Jim (Louise) and Jon (Kristen). He leaves behind four delightful grandchildren: Katherine Berryhill, Adeline Combs, Taylor Combs and Carter Combs. His extended family and may supportive friends will miss his patient, kind, generous and witty spirit.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Woodstock Club for a Celebration of Dave’s wonderful life on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 2pm – 3pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 3pm.
