David Lee Foster

David L. Foster, 91, peacefully graduated to heaven on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Born on December 14, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana, David was the son of the late Leo and Nona Foster. A proud graduate of Decatur Central High School and an Atomic Army Veteran.

For over 50 years, David was a member of the West Newton Masonic Lodge in West Newton, Indiana. He worked as a diesel mechanic for most of his life until his well-deserved retirement. David was a cherished member of the Valley Mills Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he faithfully served in the maintenance department for nearly 60 years, contributing to the well-being of his church community.

David was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn, and his son, Michael. He is survived by his son, Steven Foster; his beloved cat, Stripe; and his grandchildren, Zachary and Diana.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 10-11 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM at Valley Mills Christian Church, 5555 Kentucky Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46221. Burial will take place at West Newton Cemetery shortly thereafter.

David's warm spirit and dedication to his family, friends, and community will always be remembered.
