David Roy Blacklidge

David Roy Blacklidge of Indianapolis, Indiana passed October 2, 2026. He was 90 years old. David was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 13, 1936, to Mark M. and Mabel (McCormack) Blacklidge. David spent his early years in Spencer, Indiana on the family farm. He graduated from Owen Valley High School and later moved to Indianapolis to pursue a career as a tool and die maker for over 30 years. David was also a dedicated Freemason for life. 

He married Mary Joanne Fleming of Indianapolis on January 20, 1967, and together they raised two sons. 

David is survived by his two sons, David Joseph Blacklidge (Krissy Andrews) of Shelbyville and Richard Alan Blacklidge (Steven Johnson) of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Randi-Brooke Blacklidge of Fort Myers, FL, Samuel (India) Blacklidge of Scipio, IN, and Christopher Robles, Tiffanie Robles, Angel Robles, and Jeff Lee (Miranda) Robles, all of Midwest City, OK; and several great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Mabel Blacklidge; brothers John M. and Paul M. Blacklidge; wife, Mary Joanne Blacklidge; son Dwayne Blacklidge; and daughter, Lisa Robles. 

At his request, there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choosing.
