Darrell 'Dave' Perry

Darrell David Perry, 94, passed on July 30, 2026. He was born on August 15, 1931, in Indianapolis to Charles and Edna Perry.

Dave was a proud christian. He graduated from Avon High School & Bible college. He was an expert machinist at Chevrolet for 30 years, built his own house, coached softball, an avid fisherman, gardener, loved horseback riding, and RV camping with family.

He is survived by his 7 children, Daniel Perry, Linda Wray, Diane Tursi, Becky Perry Gurrola, Michele Shallali, Lori Perry and Jennifer Perry; as well as 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Dave was proceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Carolyn Perry; his parents, Cecil and Evelyn Perry; and his siblings, Geneva Roberts, Ralph Perry, and Don Perry.

Dave was a wonderful man and will be sincerely missed 

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 6 at Indiana Funeral Care West, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46224. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Dave will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery, 6701 Milton Street, Indianapolis, following the service.
