Darrel Herbert Crouter

Darrel Herbert Crouter passed away March 31st at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife Marcia Callis Crouter, his brother Norman, his sister Pam, his daughters Jennifer and Lori, his son-in-law Andrew and his grandchildren Atticus and Colette.
Darrel was born in Prosser, WA in 1941 to Robert and Alene Crouter, the second of four children. He graduated from Prosser High School then attended Northwest Christen College in Eugene, OR where he met his eventual wife Marcia.
Darrel would go on to dedicate his life to the care and comfort of others, first as a minister at churches in Washington state, Ohio, and Ontario and ultimately as a chaplain at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
Darrel provided compassion and counsel to all who came into contact with him, sharing his love of life and endless curiosity broadly. Always active, he embraced running midlife, becoming a fixture in the Indianapolis running community, competing in countless events across the US. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, mentor, friend and Grandidah.

A memorial service will be held at Central Christian Church in Indianapolis on April 20th at 10am.
