Danny Steven Russell

Danny Steven Russell, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 17, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 71. Born on February 17, 1954, in Hammond, Indiana, Danny lived a life rich with purpose and connection, grounded in his faith and love for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeannie W. Russell; his sons, Andrew (Tonya) Russell, James Ferrell, Danny Ferrell, and Brian (Rochelle) Cornette; his daughters, Amy Hall and Melissa (Garry) Adams; and a proud lineage that includes 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The love within his family was paramount, serving as his greatest joy and lifelong priority. Danny's strong belief in the importance of family bonds extended to his six surviving siblings, who have treasured memories of their time with him.

Danny was known for his zest for life and a variety of cherished interests. He was an avid walker, enjoyed playing golf, and found solace in gardening. He also loved spending time with his family, engaging in puzzles, which reflected his thoughtful and playful nature.

He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Beth Ferrell, and four siblings, who will be remembered in the hearts of his family.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on December 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, located at 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN. A memorial service will follow, beginning at 4:00 PM, allowing all who knew Danny to honor his remarkable life and legacy.

Danny Steven Russell leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion, eternally cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
