Danny Dean Marshall

Danny Marshall, 87, of Crawfordsville, passed away on May 9, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. Danny was born on November 11, 1937. He was a wonderful husband to Kathryn Marshall. They shared 66 years of marriage together.

Born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, he was the son of Harold and Dorthy Russell – Marshall. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1956. He retired from Wabash College as supervisor of their maintenance department.

He was a long-time member of the Mt. Zion Church. He enjoyed being part of the clown ministry and racing go karts. Once he put away the go kart, he could always be found taking leisurely drives in his free time. He loved spending parts of his winter down south at Orange Beach with his family. His favorite thing was being involved in his family’s lives. He was constantly traveling in order to attend children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s events. It didn’t matter if it was a ball game, dance recital, or whatever else they enjoyed, he was always their number one supporter. He will be remembered as a kindhearted man that would do almost anything that was asked of him.

He is survived by his spouse Kathryn Marshall and his four daughters: Vicki Hoskins (Michael Hoskins), Brenda Marshall- Kuhn (Michael Kuhn), Kristi McKinney (Tony McKinney), and Jana Minks (Larry Minks), as well as, his 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by his sister Janene Plunkett (Alan Plunkett) and proceeded in death by his parents and his sister Sheila McLaughin.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025. Visitation will take place from 10:00am to 12:30pm with the service following right after. The service will be held at Mt. Zion Church at 1231 West Black Creek Valley Road Crawfordsville, Indiana 47933.

Memorial donations can be made to Mt. Zion Church toward their scholarship program founded by Danny Marshall.
