Dana Ann Kay

Dana Ann Kay, born March 15, 1947, passed away peacefully after a battle with Parkinson’s disease on January 9, 2026, at the age of 78.

Dana devoted her professional life to nursing, a career that reflected her deep compassion, steady strength, and lifelong commitment to caring for others. She approached her work the same way she approached life—with quiet resolve, empathy, and a genuine concern for those around her. Nursing was not just her profession; it was a calling she carried out with dignity and grace.

Above all else, Dana was devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodger, and her sister, Carla. She is survived by her two daughters, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her nephew, along with his two children and grandchild—all of whom were the center of her world. Dana found her greatest joy in time spent with family—whether gathered around a table, sharing stories, or simply being together.

Dana had a playful and creative side. She enjoyed playing cards, cross-stitch, and “loving on” her family in ways both big and small. Her grandchildren especially cherished her special toast—a simple tradition that became a treasured memory and a reminder of her warmth and care.

Those who knew Dana will remember her as kind, dependable, and generous with her time and heart. She had a sincere faith in Jesus as Lord. She was deeply committed to her faith and her church; she sought ways, even in her weakness, to remain committed and involved. Even in her pain, her faith held true. She had a calming presence and a steady way of making people feel cared for and at ease.

Dana Ann Kay’s legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the many lives she touched throughout her years of service. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Services will be at College Park Church on January 17, 2026 at 10:30 am, with visitation beginning at 10 am.
