Dale Leslie Smith

Dale Leslie Smith, 71, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on July 9, 2026, in Indianapolis. Dale was born on September 19, 1954, in Indianapolis. After completing his education, graduating from Indiana University in business, he worked for much of his life as a landscaper. 

He loved the outdoors, enjoying working outside in the summer in the gardens and driving the snowplows in the winter. Dale was a loving father to Amanda, devoted spouse to Glinda, and a wonderful friend to so many. Dale also had many joys in life, he always loved the many great times with friends at Billy O’Neal’s or the Open Range, watching IU games and spending time with extended family. 

He will forever be remembered for his kindness and generosity to everyone he met. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family, who will all miss him very much.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Amanda Michelle Smith; and partner, Glinda Kinder. He was preceded in death by his parents.
