Dale H. Summers, Sr., 83, died on May 24, 2020 at his home in Danville, IN. He was born on February 20, 1937, to Sanford and Edith Summers. He had 11 brothers and sisters. He was married to Elaine Summers for 56 years and they had 3 children together.
Dale worked as a truck driver for most of his career. He enjoyed spending time with family and was thankful for everything that he had. He was a handyman who could build anything to perfection and was always lending a helping hand to others. He easily made friends and lived life with a very humble attitude.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Summers, his children Phil Summers, Joan Summers (Dale Jr.) Sanford Summers (Barbara) and Julie Wamsley (Jeff). His grandchildren Kyle Summers, Michelle Boone, Matt Summers, Ryan Swan, Chelsea Swan, Victoria Fields and Samantha Summers, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Dale Summers, Jr.
There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life in Michigan.
