Connie Sue Ennis was born April 24th, 1956 in Indianapolis to late Paul William Miller and Norma Jean Miller (Baker) and passed away at home on September 22nd 2024 with loving family by her side.
Connie met her husband Joseph Kelly Ennis in 1983. They soon discovered how many common interests they had. After being together 5 years, they were married on March 12th, 1988 at Westside Christian Church. They were blessed by two children, Elouise Lorraine (Ellie) and Charles Anthony (Charlie). They were the loves of her life and she loved being a loving and caring mother for them both.
Connie's greatest joy was the day our grandson, Nikolaj Joseph Parker, was born to Ellie and Riley Parker. The joy she had babysitting him 3 or 4 days a week was a gift of time spent together. Spoiling him anytime, but especially at birthdays or Christmas was an extra special privilege, but always overshadowed by her joy of just being with him.
Connie was blessed with two loving sisters, Denise Ann Delp (Bill) and Dayna Lee Morris (Dan) and her nephews who were a big part of her life. She also has an Aunt Linda Goodman and cousins that she loved.
Connie's husband Joseph's sisters and brothers were truly sisters and brothers to her. Deanna Duke (Ron), Cheryl Miceli (Phil), Marcia Cales (Joe), Michael (Cyndy), Jerry (Cece), Jack (Heidi), and all her nieces and nephews.
She loved all her childhood friends from the Westside to her friends now, and there are too many to mention. Connie also loved her pets like family from her ducks when she was young to all the cats, birds, fish, hamsters, and especially her dogs Moose and Scout.
Connie loved everyone and enjoyed all activities, picnics, and get-togethers with family and friends were most special. She loved camping, boating, fishing, vacations and road trips. Relaxing by her Koi Pond was a favorite past time. She enjoyed her parents cabin at Cataract Falls and enjoyed trips to the Lake Shafer cottage. Having grown up by the I.M.S. she loved the Indy 500 especially. She also rooted for the Colts.
I know for a fact how much she was loved and how much love she gave. I've truly been blessed by God to have brought us together. I will miss her bright smile and loving touch. Love you forever my dear Connie.
