Claude W. Stickford Jr. (Junior) of New Palestine, IN, passed away in his home on Sunday September 28, 2025. Junior was preceded in death by his parents Claude W. Sr. and Genevieve (Snyder) Stickford and his brother Garry W. Stickford.

Junior is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dodie (Robinson) Stickford. He was born July 13, 1954 in Marion County, IN and attended New Palestine High School. After high school, he went to work at Local 440 Plumbers & Steamfitters where he remained until his retirement in December 2016.

Junior is also survived by his children, Craig (Monica) Stickford of New Palestine, Jamie Sumner (Brandon Compton) of Indianapolis, Carrie (Todd) Needham of Franklin, and Terry (Lisa) Marsh of Princeton, KY. He is also preceded in death by Susan Miclette.

Junior had 20 grandchildren. They are Evan, Luke and Nick Stickford; Cailynne and Hailey Sumner; Kenzie, Lexie, Branson and Ryerson Compton; William and Liliann Zaring; Mallorie and Ethan Needham; Isabel Starkey; Nicholas, Johnathan and Conor Marsh; Kayla and Trenton Miclette; and Kaillyen Rogers. Junior also had 11 great grandkids.

Junior and Dodie enjoyed spending time dancing with their friends at the VFW and 8 Seconds, going a few times a week. He was dancing up until the day he went into the hospital. He also enjoyed attending as many of the grandkids sporting events as he could and grandparents breakfast at school.

Junior’s true loves were his Pomeranians, Paris (deceased) and Sissy. His kids named him “the Pomfather” and he proudly wore his shirt to prove it. Junior will be missed for his jokes, his mac ‘n’ cheese, tootsie pops, and love of vehicles. We know he is dancing in heaven right now, with Paris in his arms.
