Clara E. Waltz, 83, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 24, 2025.

Clara was born in the seaport town of Tampico, Mexico on January 14, 1942, to Luis Entenza and Petra Ramirez. She was the third of six children.

By chance, as a teenager, Clara met Ray and Christina Webb, from Indianapolis, in Tampico, and the three immediately hit it off. Clara was later adopted by the American couple and emigrated to Indianapolis to start a new life.

Clara attended Purdue University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. At Purdue, she met and fell in love with Gene “Butch” Waltz, which would start a lifelong love affair lasting fifty-three years. Clara and Gene married after graduation in 1972 and raised two boys, Erick and Kevin, in Indianapolis.

Clara’s illustrious career started with taking over Production Products, Inc., a sheet metal manufacturer in Indianapolis, from her father Ray Webb. She owned and operated Production Products for almost forty years. After selling her business, Clara went on to manage several rental property businesses up until her final days.

Clara lived a life bursting with zest and activity, a deep love and empathy for others, and an industrious work ethic. Among her many hobbies and interests, she enjoyed gardening and nature, connecting with all living creatures, architecture, real estate, swimming, but most of all, spending time with her family and her many dachshunds she affectionately called her “doggies”.

Despite the many obstacles Clara overcame, and the many accomplishments she achieved, her legacy will be the family she built, what she did for others, and the way she made the people around her feel.

Clara’s life was nothing less than extraordinary.

Clara is survived by her husband, Gene and her sons, Erick and Kevin, along with many beloved nieces and nephews, both in Indianapolis and Mexico.
