Christopher Thomas Watson, 61, died peacefully at his home in Franklin, Indiana on Monday October 2nd, 2023.
Chris, a skilled machinist and mold maker by trade for 40 years, worked at Dougherty Mold and Precise Tooling Solutions. Chris led an active lifestyle and had many hobbies including playing softball, motorbike riding, weightlifting, spelunking, travel, board games, and guitar. Chris played in softball leagues in Indianapolis (Indy Sports Park), Shelbyville (Blue River Memorial Park), and Columbus (Lincoln Park). Chris was a supporter of local sports including dirt track racing, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Indians, and was a long-time season ticket holder for the Indianapolis Colts.
Survivors include his siblings, John Watson, Miriam Watson Rhorer, Janet Watson Cheek, Robert (Cindy) Watson, Margaret Watson (James) McKinney, William Watson, Anthony (Nancy) Watson, Charles Watson; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Rhorer Miller-Davis, Victoria Rhorer, Sara Cheek (Andrew) Grimm, Andrew Cheek, Ellen (Ced'Juan Johnson) Watson, Benjamin Watson, Samuel (Megan) Watson; 4 great-nephews; and 2 great-nieces.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a memorial service beginning at 7:00pm.
