Christopher Scott Hargis

Christopher Scott Hargis passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020. Chris was born in Indianapolis on August 6, 1955 at Methodist Hospital to Mary Lou (Hasler) and Dr. W. Scott Hargis DDS. He attended Merle Sidener School #59 and Broad Ripple High School. He worked as a bartender at the Patio Lounge and Plump’s Last Shot in Broad Ripple, The Shallows in Greenwood, as well as The Snooty Fox and as the outside manager for Crystal Catering for many years. He was an excellent cook. Chris worked hard and he played hard.

He enjoyed the Indianapolis Colts and LOVED The INDY CAR circuit and the Indy 500. He was a hell of a fisherman too! After he retired, he drove part-time for Lyft. He was preceded in death by his parents and his maternal uncle.

Chris is survived by his brother Timothy Hargis, his sisters Deborah Hargis (Steven) Bulloff and Barbara Hargis, nieces Kathryn and Elizabeth Bulloff and nephews Zachary and Riley Hargis. Chris will be missed by many friends. His inurnment will take place at a future date at Scotland Cemetery, Scotland Indiana.
