Christopher J. Privett, 57, was born on January 8, 1969, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to William Jr. and Georgia Privett. He passed on May 14, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana, surrounded by his family.

Christopher graduated from Perry Meridian High School and went on to build a steady, hardworking life in the trades, working as a plumber for Schuler Plumbing in Noblesville, Indiana. Through years of dedicated work, he earned the respect of those who knew him—valued not only for his reliability, but for the steadfast loyalty and good humor he brought with him. Away from work, Christopher’s spirit was often found where the road opened up and the sky stretched wide.

An avid motorcycle rider who loved the outdoors, he carried a sense of adventure into the simple joys of everyday life. He was also a collector of vintage stereo systems, a pastime that reflected an appreciation for craftsmanship and the enduring character of things built to last. Above all, Christopher was deeply loved, and his presence will be missed in ways both profound and enduring.

Christopher is survived by his wife, Kelly Schwier; daughter, Samantha Riley Privett; sister, Carol Joiner of Texas; stepchildren, Brandon (Nicole) Day of Zionsville, IN, Brittney (Brandon) Bailey of Franklin, IN, and Jessica Mitchell of Indianapolis; step grandchildren, Tyler Bailey, Zoey Bailey, and Everett Day; niece, Desiree Garrigus of Texas; nephew, Joshua Garrigus, of Texas; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his niece, Kiana Neawedde.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Indiana Funeral Care West, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46224, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
