Christie Lynn Kimbel-Pool

Christie Lynn Kimbel –Pool, 67, passed away on September 19, 2025 in the comfort of her home. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Donald N. Kimbel and Norma Jean Kimbel on March 23rd, a birthday, which she proudly shares with her granddaughter Kennady.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry Pool, her brother Mark Kimbel, and her sister Marie Beaman.

 Christie is survived by her son Mike Sipes for whom she had such a special love, her grandson, Michael Sipes, her granddaughter Kennady Sipes, and her remaining siblings, Marsha Firth, Shirley Johnson and Rodney Hubbard.Christie was especially excited when Kennady presented her with a great grandson, Ares, who was born after not expected to live. A special appreciation to dear nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who will greatly feel her loss. 

Although Christie lived most of her life in Indy, she always had a dream retiring to Florida which she and her husband Harry finally achieved. Christie and her husband were always involved and served in the VFW‘s wherever they lived. They loved the VFW community and enjoyed karaoke together always singing Sunny and Cher’s, “I’ve got you babe”. After her husband’s passing, Christie turned her skills into becoming a CMA taking care of those in need working with Visiting Angels. She had such a compassion for those she served. She had plenty of practice due to her husband‘s illness and that of her mother. Christie’s dry humor, and exceptional witt made her a favorite at family gatherings as we all believe she missed her calling as a stand-up comedian. A special thank you from the family to her son Mike for giving up his life here in Indy to go to Florida and take care of Christie after her stroke. Also a great appreciation to her sister Shirley for her devotion and loving care for Christie after she returned to Indy, until her passing. A celebration of life service will be on November 1 at 2:30 PM at the VFW located at 10550 Pendleton Pike, Lawrence, IN. 46236.
