Charles Russell McGuire

Charles Russell McGuire, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the age of 86 at Beech Grove Meadows, Beech Grove, IN. He was born in Nashville, Indiana on January 12, 1939.

A proud Navy veteran, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Russ lived his life loving the outdoors and his family.

Russ is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Helen, both parents, Alva and Ruth, his brother Art and sister Sue. He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Kelly Barnhart (Curt) and Kerri Coleman-Gravely (Robb), 4 grandchildren and a proud great-grandpa, along with many nieces and nephews.

As Russ was an avid reader, we ask, if you wish, to donate to the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library Foundation. As Russ did not like the focus to be on him, there will be no services at this time.
