It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Charles Martin Kindler (Chuck) of Avon, Indiana, who departed this life on Thursday, May 28, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 4, 1940, in Indianapolis. He was the son of Martin and Ellen Kindler. 

His titles included supervisor, job setter, and various functions within Ford Motor Company, working there for 31 years enabling him to retire at 55 years old. Throughout his career, Chuck demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit, achieving his most notable success with Bellair Striping Service, a company he founded that specialized in marking parking lines and other essential stripes for parking lots.

Chuck married Mary (Spencer) on June 30, 1961, and raised three children. After 55 years of marriage, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Kindler, four siblings, Jerri, Kate, Mary Lou, Bill and grandson-in-law, Brett Faulk. Chuck's memory is cherished by his daughters, Laura Kindler, Donna (Tony) Kindler-Keen, son, Charles (Lisa) Kindler, granddaughter's, Ashley Faulk, Bailee (Mike) Clemens, and Lindsey Keen. Grandson, Josh (Samantha) Gauger, three great granddaughter's and one great grandson. He is also survived by his girlfriend of nine years, Betty Belledin.

A man of many talents (Mr. fix it) who enjoyed his life to the fullest. He was stubbornly independent, determined, witty, and always the life of the party at any gathering. He, along with his wife Mary, thoroughly enjoyed attending and supporting his children and grandchildren at school functions and sporting events. He cherished the memories of camping trips with his family on weekends, and the time spent on the farm in Birdseye, Indiana, surrounded by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, with numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives. Chuck delighted in karaoke with his girlfriend Betty and in the company of friends. His love for singing showcased his entertaining nature. In his free time, Chuck took pleasure in visiting casinos, outdoor activities, such as lawn and yard maintenance, gardening and riding his electric powered bike around the neighborhood.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 3, 2026, 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care West, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224.A celebration of his life will begin at 1:00 pm with burial to immediately follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield, Indiana.
