Carolyn Jean Crawford Noe, daughter of Charles Frederick Crawford and Barbara Del Reed Crawford was born March 23, 1956, in Carson City, Michigan. She had lots of fond memories of times with her dad. He called her his ‘Sweetie Pie.” Carolyn and Larry Rickard Noe eloped on August 24, 1988, in Clarksville, Tennessee. Carolyn was a warrior who fought valiantly! She won several battles but eventually succumbed in the war against cancer on Wednesday March 11, 2026, surrounded by family.

Carolyn had a servant’s heart and provided support to individuals who had developmental disabilities for the majority of her life. She recently said that her favorite and most rewarding job was working as lead teacher for newborns to three-year-olds who had developmental disabilities. Her passion and life’s work was watching those individuals grow, get jobs, get married and have children of their own - sometimes even grandchildren!

Carolyn always loved going back to Michigan as Michigan had her heart. She loved the water and being out in it or on it whenever she could. She often told anyone who would listen that she was sure heaven looked a lot like Michigan. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Barbara Crawford, older sister, Linda Crawford Baker, and niece Katherine "Kate” Baker. She is survived by her husband, Larry Noe, daughter, Jessica Weller (Joan), siblings Bill Crawford (Pamela), Elizabeth “Beth” Crawford, Heather O’Neil (Jon), Richard Crawford (Diana), brother-in-law John Baker, grandson Jonathan Noe (Tiffany), great grandsons Knox and Nash Noe, numerous nieces & nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held on April 11, 2026, from 1 to 4 pm EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) at the Fulcher Center 124 N New York St., Remington, Indiana.
