Carol Lynne Stahl

Carol Stahl, 74, of Greenwood passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on March 26, 2026. Carol was born on April 8, 1951 in Plainfield, IN.

She graduated as valedictorian from Plainfield High School in 1969. Carol attended Ball State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in art education. She also received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Herron School of Art.

In 1974, Carol met the love of her life, Thomas J. Stahl, who she married in June of 1975. In 2025, they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Carol was an art teacher for 35 years, working for Center Grove Community Schools for most of that time. She continued to create beautiful art in retirement while loving on her grandkids and cats.

Carol was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ashton and Mary Peacock.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Stahl, sisters Alice Peacock and Rita (Randall) Wells, children Phillip (Meghan) Stahl and Gina (Stahl) Mason, grandchildren Liam and Evan Stahl and Pearl Mason.

Services to honor Carol will take place on April 9, 2026 at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church located at 335 S Meridian St, Greenwood, IN 46143. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM to 12:00PM with a Mass to follow at 12:00PM.
