Carol E. Shinn, age 61, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026,surrounded by family members in Indianapolis, IN. Born in Indianapolis, IN. on March 22, 1965, to Marion (Bud) and Eunice Coan. She devoted many years working in home hospice care. Carol loved nothing more than spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Carol is survived by her two sons Joshua (Victoria) Shinn and Nicholas (Kayla) Shinn; her three grandsons, Javen, Hayden, and Asher; and her granddaughter, Maliyah; her brother, Gary (Lorie) Coan; and life long best friend, Connie Tully Kiser.
Along with her parents Carol is preceded in death by her two brothers, Larry and Greg Coan and her aunt, Elizabeth (Betty) Keithley.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wheeler Mission Center for Women & Children.
