Carlean (Elliott) Jackson was born January 7, 1938 in Decatur, AL to Willie Lee and Mary Frances (Gideon) Elliott.
She attended Decatur Public School System and later moved to Indianapolis and made this her home.
Carlean and son, Orrin said I do to Millie and his son Sylvester. Carlean and Millie became one in December 1956. And to this union five children were born.
Carlean accepted Christ and began her fellowship at Pentecostal Apostolic Church and later attended Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly Church where she remained a faithful member until her illness.
Carlean was employed at CIC Enterprises for over 25 years as a Cashier and later a Mail Clerk. She also worked at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly as a Cook for the pre-school before finally retiring.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
She loved helping people, cooking, gardening, her beloved dog “FatBelly” and good old fashioned church music.
Carlean departed this life and made her transition on Thursday, May 20, 2021 after a long battle with Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease.
She was proceeded in death by husband Millie L. Jackson; J.R Reese and son
Sylvester Barnes.
She leaves to Cherish her memories 4 Sons Orrin, Karl, Eric (Donna), and Keith (Cynthia); 2 daughters Carolyn (Jackson) Southern and Nettie (Jackson) Halliburton; 1 brother John Daniel Elliott and 1 sister-in-love Carrie Brown;
Sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a host of lovely nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
