Brett Wesley, a loving husband, father, son, grandfather and brother, passed away on June 3, 2024. Born on December 17, 1975, Brett's life was filled with love, laughter, family, the joy of craftsmanship, and all things music.
He is survived by his dedicated wife, Valerie Anna Wesley, whom he wed in the blissful year of 2007. He leaves behind a devoted daughter, Amanda Marie Navarro; his proud mother, Pamala Carol Wesley; and his caring sisters, Tara (Jason) Yeagy and Tonia (James) Lopez. He is predeceased by his father, Leo Anthony Wesley; grandfather, Robert Gillem; grandmothers, Vera Michau and Wavelet Gillem. His strong spirit lives on in the hearts of those loved.
Brett graduated from Hale in 1996 and moved to Speedway, IN in 1997, where he carved out a life rich in love and discovery.
A man of many talents, Brett's favorite pastimes included traveling, playing guitar, woodworking, and engaging in home improvement projects. An enthusiast of the great outdoors, he enjoyed hiking, playing with his dogs, and spending weekends with his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, where he would encourage a boundary-free atmosphere, along with all things shenanigans! A zealous fan of the Colts, Brett's sense of fun and adventure was also expressed through his love for all things sweet!
Described as witty, mischievous, and fun-loving, Brett had a personality that was as dynamic as it was endearing. His favorite vacation spot was Tennessee, a place that reflected his love for nature and tranquility.
Among Brett's many talents was his innate musical ability. This, along with his woodworking projects like his unique wall art, are some of the many accomplishments he left behind. His legacy is not only in his creative works, but also in the love and laughter he shared with his daughter, Amanda Marie Navarro. Brett's spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of his loved ones.
A service to celebrate Brett's life will be held on June 21st, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care located at 2433 E Main St. May he rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
