Brenda Jean Hammock, age 69, of Indianapolis Indiana passed away peacefully on May 27th 2026.

Born October 31st, 1956, Brenda spent her life in Indianapolis Indiana where she built a life centered around family, hard work, and love.

Brenda dedicated more than 30 years of her life as a school bus driver- a career that reflected her caring nature and commitment to others.

Brenda was a strong, hard-headed and loving woman who touched countless lives with her kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She found joy in cooking and baking for those she loved, spending time working crossword puzzles, and most importantly, being a grandma. 

Her kitchen, her laughter and her love created memories that will live on forever. 

Brenda is survived by her sister Pamela Staten, son Lawerence (angel) Kelsey, daughters Misty (Corey) Dorsey, Amanda (David) Nettles and Brittney Hammock along with several beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, her niece Laura and nephews Bobby and Ricky and many loved ones who were blessed to know her. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew, her son Craig, her brother Mike, and her parents Barbara and Walter.

Service will be on June 9th, viewing at 11:30-12:30 service 12:30-1:30 at Indiana Funeral Care 8151 Allisonville Rd. Burial at Sutherland Park Cemetery 4140 Millersville Rd, 4050 Meadows Pkwy.

Brenda would want those who loved her to continue living life to its fullest, to cherish the people around them, and above all to keep Sunday breakfast tradition alive.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
